Founder & Managing Director
Andrea is the Founder and Managing Director of Leor. Andrea has over a decade of senior management experience, including overseeing service delivery to some of Australia’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community. Andrea is a lawyer who spent time in corporate law before making the decision to follow her passion for human rights, an area in which she worked for almost a decade before establishing Leor.
Andrea has consistently been engaged in the community sector in addition to her regular commitments, and it is this passion for making the world a better place that drives both her personal and professional values. Andrea is the President of the peak body for In Home Care, the Australian Home Childcare Association, and is an Apiary Fellow, a fellowship that focuses on creating systemic change for all stakeholders in the early childhood sector. Andrea is a Director of Relationships Australia (NSW) and is a member of the Law Society of NSW Children’s Legal Issues Committee.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Master of International Law. She is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies. Andrea is a solicitor admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the Law Society of NSW, and has taught law at various Australian Universities. Andrea was recognised as community lawyer of the year in the NSW Women Lawyers’ Association Awards in 2013, and was nominated in the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in 2019.
Manager – Families, Quality & Practice
Vanessa is responsible for family and Educator support, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that your child is cared for in a safe environment. Vanessa has over a decade of experience in education settings, including owning and operating her own family day care, and delivering learning support in primary and secondary school settings. Vanessa has also worked in the aged care sector and understands what is required to ensure the highest level of support to vulnerable individuals.
Vanessa is passionate about creating environments where children can achieve positive learning outcomes, whilst also ensuring that Educators are working in locations that are safe, comfortable, and will allow them to use their skills and expertise to benefit children.
Vanessa holds a Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services).
Anna is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of senior leadership experience in the finance teams of large organisations. Anna brings her passion for maintaining quality standards and risk management to Leor, with a wealth of knowledge that delivers significant benefits to both Leor clients and our operations.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), holds a Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Accountant Australia. Anna worked in forensic accounting and internal auditing before moving into the finance team of an ASX listed entity prior to joining Leor.
Abigail is a Certified Practising Accountant with over a decade of experience in financial management. She has a deep understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and is passionate about supporting families to receive quality care in a manner that fits within their budget.
Abigail holds a Master of Accountancy, a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, a Diploma in Leadership and Management, is a member of CPA Australia and is currently working towards further CPA Certification.
Human Resources Coordinator
Andrea oversees Leor’s human resources services, maintaining high standards amongst those who represent Leor and support families on a daily basis. Andrea is responsible for onboarding new staff, whilst also supporting them with training and other skills they require to ensure their personal and professional needs are met.
Andrea has studied Human Resources and holds a Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care). Andrea worked as a Centre Director in the long day care sector and supported vulnerable families and children in the not for profit sector prior to joining Leor.
National Recruitment Coordinator
Kylie is responsible for our national recruitment program, to ensure that Educators are identified that meet the needs of families and support children across the country. Kylie is passionate about children and families gaining access to quality early childhood education and brings her own knowledge as an Educator to the fore to ensure Educators’ skills are showcased to assist children in achieving positive outcomes.
Kylie holds a Certificate III in Children’s’ Services and is studying a Diploma in Marketing. Kylie previously worked as an Early Childhood Educator, in family support within another In Home Care and NDIS provider, and within an In Home Care Support Agency prior to joining Leor.
Sarah Lewis is responsible for supervising Educators who deliver In Home Child Care services and develops learning programs for children across the country. Sarah joined Leor as an Educator herself and was promoted to the Operations Team as a result of her dedication to Leor’s vision and maintaining high quality service delivery.
Sarah holds a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education from Wales, has worked in centre based care, in home care and with children with complex needs.
Holistic Education Teacher
Bethany Cooke is Leor’s Holistic Education Teacher, which involves supervising the delivery of early childhood early intervention services to families. Bethany also works with allied health therapists and other service providers supporting children to ensure that Leor’s individualised program meets the child’s needs from a holistic education perspective, with input from the family. Bethany works as an Educator as well as in a supervision role within the Operations Team.
Bethany holds a Master of Inclusive Education and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and has experience in both centre based and preschool settings.
