Our allied health team are a group of professionals that are passionate about supporting your child to succeed in all aspects of their life.
Leor has a team of allied health professionals that work with our Educators and families to create the best opportunities for children to thrive and grow. Our allied health team has decades of experience working with children, which is coupled with Leor’s innovative approach, to result in outstanding results for children.
You can engage our allied health team to work with your child separate to your learning sessions, or incorporate their assessments and recommendations into our learning sessions.
What do allied health professionals do?
Occupational therapists can conduct developmental assessments to identify whether children require specific supports to assist them in achieving their milestones and develop skills to gain functional independence. Our occupational therapists can support your family by making recommendations that can be incorporated in your child’s home learning sessions, or in other learning or care settings.
Speech pathologists can conduct assessments to identify whether children are experiencing challenges in developing age appropriate speech patterns. Our speech pathologists can recommend exercises to improve articulation and sounds to ensure your child is able to communicate effectively.
Children can be supported through psychology services to assist with issues relating to anxiety, depression, challenging behaviours, transitions, and attachment. Our psychologists can recommend strategies to parents, whilst also working with your child and your Leor Educator, to incorporate practices that will enable your child to achieve positive mental health and support positive behaviour.
